On Dec11th, professor Chung Bong Gun came to Beijing and communicated with the research group of social governance on "education equalization in Korea". Mr. Bong Gun Chung is a visiting professor at the Graduate School of International Studies of Seoul National University while joining the program of Global Education Cooperation. Dr. Chung is in charge of the development and cooperation center at the Global Social Responsibility Corps of the Seoul National University. He has been involved in a higher education project regarding Uganda and Rwanda, a new school construction in Haiti, the UNESCO BEAR project for the TVET in Botswana, and the preparation for the Korea Africa Day seminar during the 2012 ADEA Triennale at Burkina Faso. He worked at the Permanent Delegation of Korea to the OECD as a minister level diplomat in charge of works related to education, training and science. He is originally from the Ministry of Education where he has been mostly involved during the past 30 years in subject areas such as education reform policies, human resources development, and international cooperation. Afterwards, Dr Chung will provide the reasearch group with a case report on "education equalization in Korea".
