Vice President (Vice Minister)

    Hou Yunchun, Vice President (Vice Minister) of DRC. Born in Linqing, Shangdong Province in October 1952. Graduated from the specialty of political science of Lanzhou University in 1978, and then from the Master’s Program on Political Science of CPC Central Party School. Joined the army in December 1969. He worked with Comprehensive Production Department, General Office and Comprehensive Economic Department of the State Economic Commission (SEC) in 1978-1985 and appointed as Deputy Division Director of Comprehensive Economic Department of SEC in April 1985. He worked with Policy Research Department and Department of Policy, Institution, Laws and Regulations of Ministry of Materials in 1988-1993 having served as Division Director, Assistant Director General and Deputy Director General. He worked as Deputy Director General of Trades Management Department of Ministry of Domestic Trade in 1993-1996. He worked with the State Economic and Trade Commission in 1996-2002, having served successively as Deputy Director General of General Office (Director General level), Director General of Research Office, Deputy Secretary General and Secretary General. He was appointed as Vice Minister of the State Council Research Office in April 2002. He has been Vice President (Vice Minister) of DRC since October 2008. He has participated in drafting of major documents of CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the ministries and the state commissions.
